California Tobacco Control Program

I art directed these spots for the California Tobacco Control Program’s campaign on anti-vaping; interviewing local teens about vaping and how it affects their daily lives. From peer pressure to daily use, teens are being targeted by vape companies (many owned by Big Tobacco - gasp!) and most parents have no idea.  For out-of-home, we incorporated a new library of photography and evolved the already established "asterisk" - a symbol in earlier campaigns that represented Big Tobacco's habit of not telling the whole truth - into a smiley face that "congratulated" their success at getting kids hooked to cigarettes by way of vaping.
